We believe all dance should be fun and rewarding, providing an ideal environment for young people who wish to enjoy dance as a hobby and make new friends, as well as providing dance training of an exceptional standard for those who hope to pursue a career in dance.

All students are treated as individuals and progress through classes in accordance with their confidence and ability in order to provide the most suitable training for their needs. We strive to make our classes accessible, and are passionate about dance being an inclusive art available to all. There is so much this art has to offer!

Regular examination sessions take place throughout the year for students who wish to take them. This gives students an opportunity to have all of their hard work acknowledged, as all exams are accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), providing parity with GCSE’s and A-Levels.

Providing performance opportunities

We provide students with a vast array of performance opportunities including performances at the Gordon Craig Theatre and the Harlow Playhouse. Our bi-annual shows are a huge event, and an extensive amount of production goes in to them. With a our own professional technical team and a huge amount of special lighting, video walls, aerial and automation equipment, our shows provide students with the opportunity to be involved with a highly professional performance and work with west-end professionals – Far exceeding an average dance school show!
We regularly compete in prestigious RAD and ISTD competitions. We also take part in numerous local arts events and charity events, and our annual Christmas Party and Presentation Evenings are a wonderful opportunity for students, friends and family to come together and celebrate everyones’ achievements and successes.

The school operates from some of the best facilities Stevenage and Biggleswade have to offer, including the Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre and Gordon Craig Theatre, Saxon Pool and Leisure Centre, and our very own Lakes Studio at Fairlands Valley Park.
A high quality environment is key to safe training and looking after our students developing bodies, so we always ensure we use purpose-built spaces with appropriate sprung flooring and other key essentials that can’t be found in community centres and school halls.

Classes

We offer classes in a wide variety of dance genres from 2 years through to Advanced Vocational Levels, Teacher Training, and Adult classes.
We are registered with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), Acrobatic Arts, and the Dang Dance and Theatre Syllabus.

Aerial performance and training has become far more mainstream in recent years. For those wishing to pursue a career in the dance and performance industry, this is a key skill that is extremely advantageous.

We work closely with one of the industries leading performer flying companies in order for us to offer top quality aerial training and opportunities for our students. Just some of the company’s experience and credits include London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies, Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies, South East Asian Games (SEA Games) Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Singapore National Day Parades, Various productions at The Royal National Theatre, Eurovision Song Contests, and many other National and International Theatre productions, events, TV and film productions.
