Première School of Dance was established in September 2006 by Kimberly Creak BA (Hons), LRAD, ARAD, DDE. The school is based at the Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre and Gordon Craig Theatre, allowing our students to train in some of the best facilities Stevenage has to offer. Our teachers have some of the best teaching qualifications and training around, having studied at some of the countries most prestigious Dance Associations and worked with top professionals across the industry.
We believe all dance should be fun and enjoyable, providing an ideal environment for young people who wish to enjoy dance as a hobby and make new friends, as well as providing dance training of an exceptional standard for those who hope to pursue a career in dance.
All students are treated as individuals and progress through classes in accordance with their confidence and ability in order to provide the most suitable training for their needs.
Regular examination sessions take place throughout the year for students who wish to take them. This gives students an opportunity to have all of their hard work acknowledged, as all exams are accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), providing parity with GCSE’s and A-Levels.
As a dance school we provide students with a vast array of performance opportunities. We regularly compete in prestigious RAD and ISTD competitions as well as local dance festival competitions. We also take part in numerous local arts events and charity events.
Our bi-annual shows are a huge event, and an extensive amount of production goes in to them. With a our own professional technical team and a huge amount of special lighting, sound and automation equipment, our shows provide students with the opportunity to be involved with a highly professional performance.
